Happy New Year!
Another year has passed by and we are now at the beginning of
a new year-2007.
For many, this is the time for making and setting resolutions
about how we conduct our personal, business,
professional affairs or manage our health and
well being. An essential element of a good
resolution is the need for the mental state or
quality of being resolute with firmness of
direction.
Do you have a resolution? Is it about your health? i.e., cut
down on carbohydrates and lose 12 pounds for the
year. Is it about your family? i.e., will say,
“I care or love you” at least once daily. Is it
about your close friends and relatives? i.e.,
staying in touch and letting them know that you
remember. Is it about your financial situation?
i.e., cutting down on shopping. Is it about the
time you spent for charitable and community
activities? i.e., increasing time and resources
dedicated to helping the needy. Whatever your
resolution is, I hope that you will include in
your resolve your participation and support of
professional activities, i.e., devoting your
time and resource to the success of the PNASC
and PNAA.
The outgoing administration of Josie De Jesus vividly
demonstrated the successful attainment of its
resolutions. The multiple attainments and
accomplishments of the PNASC under her
leadership are numerous and deserve our deepest
appreciation.
Josie De Jesus’ patience, level-headed, sense of purpose, and
very resilient style of leadership, despite
major obstacles and challenges, will serve as a
beacon for everyone to emulate. Thank you JED
for your firm leadership and excellent quality
of acceptance and understanding.
With the incoming administration of Brenda Cohen, we can look
forward confidently and have an optimistic
outlook for the continuing growth and success of
the PNASC.
Brenda Cohen’s experience in organizational leadership is
extensive and her ability to foster
collaboration is clearly manifested in her
professional activities. Her resolve to bring
the PNASC to a higher level of attainment and
accomplishment is unquestionably paramount. I
wish you strength and power to carry on your
resolutions for the PNASC!
The success of any organization depends not only
on good leadership but also on the unity, pride,
and sense of purpose of its membership. The
PNASC is where it is now and where it will be
because of the contribution of each and every
member of the organization. It is my hope that
PNASC officers and members will have their
respective resolution(s) to include their
increased involvement and support of the PNASC
in 2007 and the years to come. United in purpose
