50 Years of Engagement and Making a Difference: the Journey Goes OnOn November 19, 2011, we are celebrating a once in a lifetime event, a significant milestone in the history of the Philippine Nurses Association of Southern California (PNASC), for its 50th year of promoting professional excellence and compassionate care in the community. From its humble beginning, PNASC has flourished into a world class professional organization and a significant force that positively impact the lives of many! Thanks to the15 Filipino nurses who looked beyond social gathering. Instead, they poured their time and energy into transforming PNASC into something bigger and better in areas of continuing education, justice and equality especially for foreign-educated nurses. During the gala celebration, we will highlight, honor and commemorate the legacy of the 17 past presidents without whose passion to serve, patience and perseverance to implement programs and initiatives, we would not have an organization that is known locally, nationally and globally. All past Presidents along with their Executive Board and Advisers have made significant and sustained contributions in order for PNASC to soar and shine in new heights. Team 2010-2012, therefore, accept the challenge to make PNASC more visible, more viable and with sustained vitality because PNASC is here to stay. Our theme, “Fifty Years of Engagement and Making a Difference: The Journey Goes on” is a clear snapshot of who we are as a professional organization. It defines our excellence and accomplishments, lessons learned, the present to be seized, and the future to be paved for the coming generations. On behalf of the TEAM PNASC 2010-2012, especially the Planning Committee, we extend our warm welcome and heartfelt appreciation to all who are instrumental for making our “Affair to Remember” Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam! |
